Marine System Technician

Marine Systems Technician Assist in and perform boat repairs and maintenance tasks Troubleshooting and repairing outboard and inboard engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, trailers, water systems and marine electronics Install components and equipment on new vessels Verify completion of all items on estimate and inspect all finished work Controlling Machines and Processes Operate forklift, scissor lift and heavy machinery Technical Skills Proper use of a variety of power tools Physical Requirements Considerable periods of standing or walking throughout the facility to interface with associates Requires kneeling, crouching, stooping or crawling Requires lifting 50 lbs without assistance Work Environment Work is performed in a boatyard, which can subject workers to loud levels of noise, fumes, debris, tripping hazards and sharp metal edges.
Personal protective equipment will be provided to staff, but personnel are responsible for ensuring that the equipment is properly used and for being aware of their surroundings.
Other Duties Practice standard work procedures and develop new processes needed with business growth Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors.
